SAS "Help" Menu Error Message
Q. When I try to use the "Help" menu in SAS I get a message "HTTP/1.1 404 Not found". How can I fix this?
A. There is a conflict between the current version of Internet Explorer and SAS Version 8.2. There is, however a fix available and more information at http://support.sas.com/kb/7/766.html.
Another solution is to obtain and install the SAS Online Documentation CD-ROM from the SAS license coordinator (Charles Jessop cej4@cornell.edu ) and install that on your machine. The SAS Online Documentation contains all of the information that would be contained in the Help menu and much more.
